I was working too late Sunday night to get any pictures posted. When I finished getting the truck back together last night I posted them up for you. They're in skidplate alley.

really want to dump cams in the caR50 and have the trailer ready, but of course it is all up to fundage.

I've been thinking about cams for a long time now. Considering the amount of work involved I would really like to know how much usable power I'll get out of them. I need the most power at idle to say 2Krpms.

That is what pisses me off. I have heard of only one person doing cams in a 3.3 and their reports of how it drove were vague. 3.0 cams in a 3.3 would be an improvment as the 3.3 has the mildest cams of the SOHC VG motors.

People have posted here stating they have a cam upgrade. I would like to see what the numbers are. The vg30 gets like 155-160 stock so cams would barely get 200hp. Small gain for a TON of engine work.

I dunno about small gain...

40-50hp is a pretty large gain in my book. We are not talking about a v8 so....

If I got 20hp out of a cam upgrade I would consider that well worth the work and money. I have also read the people are getting several miles per gallon better with the cam upgrade. That is my main reason for wanting to do it.

Who knows...I just may have a brand spanking new SD33T for this year!

I seriously doubt it but ya' never know. The guy building my engine is kicking ass and doing it up fast! Thing is the shipping the engine/truck here from Oz will hold it up and also getting the engine in the truck. I can hope but have my doubts. Regaurdless...my truck is pretty ready to go right now. He lives in Jackson Hole but is having the engine built in Australia.

Couldn't you just install the engine here in the states? A complete built diesel should be a pretty straight forward install.

He's going to install it here, he's just having the engine built there since there isn't anyone in the states with experience with that engine.

DR & Reddog are on the money....I do live in Wyoming, BFE JH. And yes the engine is being built in Toowoomba, Australia by Yuri 4x4. There is a whole bunch of reasons I am having it done up in Oz, a big one of those is yes not many people around the USA with experience on this engine plus tons of parts for it in OZ and harder to come by here. The SD33T stock (mine is a SD33 N/A) has 105hp! I am hoping for a solid 225hp when it is done but who knows it might be more! It will be interesting to see what rwhp will be on the dyno when she is all done.

Yuri is getting pretty far into the build but it is still a ways off from being done.

Planning on getting the Patrol into the CBI shop soon so we can start on some more mods while we wait for AZ Run and the engine!

I'm getting aftermarket UCAs, new coilovers, and longer rear shocks. If I still have money left over, I will have Dunbar Spring add to my rear leaf packs (and most likely a shim for the pinion angle).
