That is VERY cool. I wish my CB had a GPS in it...
The only thing about FRS is that it only will reach 2 miles...and that's in perfect conditions. Mr. Will |1992 SE-V6 4x4, 2001 LE 3.5| http://www.netsnapshot.com/pcw/pickalbum?W92PathSE |

The other thing I dont like about FRS is that they are impossible to hear while wheeling. The things are just too quiet.
I used an FRS radio this weekend when we went up on the rim and noticed that it lost communication after about 1/4 mile distance. --------------------------- |

Most FRS have earphone plugs. They also have a "call" feature which makes them make a shrill "ring" sound that nobody ever uses. It's perfect for 'wheeling. If the radio has been quiet for a while, hit it before you start to talk. Just wait 5 seconds after pressing the call button and you can be sure everyone has their FRS in their hand where they can hear you. Just gotta agree ahead of time with everyone to actually use it and understand why.
