WEll props to ADVENTURE 16 for refurbishing my 35 year old backpack- no charge.
They even added another crossbar to the very top for another lashing point. A few zippers weren't zippin , a few pack mounting pins were missing, and a "hold the top open bar" was abused. All due to my neglect, but they take care of their chit for life ..................... "Climate change is no longer science. It's politics... Climate change is also about power. Power to control.... It's about who gets to decide: how much energy we will have... where that energy will come from... what it will cost... It's about simulations, scenarios and monsters conjured up by computer models that should never be used to chart government policy -- especially on matters that will profoundly affect our livelihoods, living standards, life spans and dreams of a better future. "So hold onto your wallets, and hope you can hold onto your homes, cars and jobs. You're about to be put on a wild political roller coaster." - Paul Driessen, TownHall.com |

Sorry just saw the thread.
I backpack in yosemite every summer and after renting external frame packs i bought an internal and the difference is night and day. Since your son is only 10, you may want to consider renting just cause he will outgrow quickly - but then again I bet a used pack will fetch a good % of return. My pack is a kelty, and i love it. But as Bille said there are plenty of alternatives. Good luck and have fun. |
