anyone ever been out to canyon lake? Are there any offroad trails out there? How about camping spots, like saguaro's coves?

Canyon lake isn't terribly accessible. What is there is highly developed picnic areas, etc. Apache lake is a little better, but still, everything is a fee area.

Saguaro lake offers the best opportunity to get out.

My friends are wanting to go camping this weekend, and only one person has 4wd. I don't want to go camp at sycamore, cause it's going to be hot the next day, and it will be fun to swim or at least be shaded!! Where are the non-fwd accesible camp sites at saguaro? Are there any?

The coves are 4wd only. You *might* get a 2wd into the first cove, but they'd probably have to be strapped out of the playground to get out of there. You could camp in the first wash outside of the Butcher Jones picnic area and get there with a 2wd, but it's not by the lake.

Back in the day, I got Mongo (when still 2wd) in there... had to get strapped up one pretty steep hill. After that, I decided to say eff it, and park it in the playground. I rode shotty the rest of the day.

Got out of the playground... barely, but I did get out, haha.
