I'm just wondering if anyone out there has used the DeLorme Earthmate GPS in conjunction with your laptop. If you have, does it work with the Topo USA software? How well does it work in general? Thanks.

Would you recommend getting one of those smaller "handheld" type GPS units instead of this and then downloading the information to the laptop? I would kind of prefer to just run the GPS straight through the laptop because the laptop can hold a lot more maps and what not.
