I am such a sucker for toys so I bought this today:

http://www.garmin.com/products/iQue3600/

due to a special for existing customers at http://www.radioworld.ca I picked this puppy (complete with the automotive mount, car lighter adapter, etc) for $300CDN... Obviously it also comes with USB computer cradle, and full City Select V7 map software.

If you're not a prior customer of radioworld then you can get it for $350.

If you poke around eBay they also sell those there as they got a large batch for a severely discounted price.

This thing is sick.. plays MP3s... is a full GPS with 32 MB of built in memory and an SD card slot (you can pick up a 1GB card for $75 CDN!) I love Garmin so much that I will name my firstborn after them.

I've got the iQue M3. About the only thing I don't like is that I can't get it to leave a trail. I may need software for trails but my Garmin V will show a trail of where I have just come from in case I want to head back. Other than that pretty cool.

I haven't played around with it enough... but there should be an option to "snap to roads" or something close to that. That's how it works on my nRoute software on my laptop GPS.

EDIT: Found it

Preferences -> Maps -> Show Location -> At GPS Location (instead of On Roads)

Nope did not work on mine. It just moved the place marker over to the left a little. Thanks for trying though.
