well i installed my arb or atleast tried. I could only get three bolts in. I was wondering if anyone around brunswick georgia that has experience with ARB bumpers and Hardbodys could help me install it better it looks ridiculous and it isnt safe.
Not sure on the Hardbody but the Frontier has 3 bolts per side. My truck had a bent flange so I could not use one lower bolt. I had to use the lift on my box truck in order to get it mounted with the winch installed. It is very tight side to side. The only other problem may be if you have a tweaked frame. Thats all I can think of right now. Lator.....
I should not have a problem driving up to Brunswick to help you out... I had to modify my ARB to fit. My frame rails are off. Whoever welded the frame on my truck was drunk at the time.
I had to cut portions of the arb off and grind on my truck some.
Wow guys im real sory i have been busy for a while now with college and work SOrry for not replying. Yeah thats the problem i think im having gator is a tweaked frame. I boned a lady who ran a stop sign bent my frame a tad and had to put it on the puller. LordBio i would really appreciate the help i have no metal working tools my cousin on the other hand has side grinders and air tools and a little welder i can access. I would appreciate it from you to A-Rod i really dont want to weld it on right now seeing as i dont have a winch at the moment i just want it to fit right, I am free probably anyweekend after this one. Thanks for all the info. LordBio you think it would needed to be welded?
I don’t think the bumper will need to be welded. I was able to modify the arb bumper to fit my truck. Also the ARB has so many places to slap bolts on to support the bumper.
I have a full array of mechanical tools plus a grinder in my truck box. Pretty much I can handle anything mechanical except for welding.
I would try getting it bolted up sturdy. Should not take much since you don’t have any added weight from winch+ accessories.
I really only think the only thing that needs to happen is to weld one side so it can go inside the frame horns. I would defiantly appreciate it if you got some free time i can go to you if its easier on ya.
Hey LordBio you just dot a 3 inch suspension lift and 33x12.5's? How well they fit have to do any trimming
I have a 3" sus lift with 31X10.50 BFG at's. I am looking for a second set of factory mags to throw on 33X15.5 TSL's or Goodyear MTR's. On the trail, the tires will be aired down half way. Any rubbing problems should be minuet.
For a daily driven truck 33" tires is just too much on the steering and suspension. I've personally seen a 94 pathfinder with just a 2" body lift fit 33X10.5 with minor rubbing issues (when tires full locked). This was his play truck.
I’ve completed a rated 7 trail with 31 at’s without sliders. Yes 31’s are a little small. From what I’ve experience it’s not all tires. The ability to slip and slide off of obstacles is much more important. I would take body armor first over larger tires.
With 33” and full armor I should be able to take everything on a rated 8 trail minus the rocks and deep mud/pits.
