nice 1996 Z. There's an even more rare 25th anniversary 1994 Nismo 300ZX. It produced over 400HP out the box.

So how hard are those things to work on. I have heard horror stories about access to parts.

i have heard it referred to as one of the most difficult vehicles to work on. like pretty much pull the motor to do about anything. i guess it would be OK if you were to get one and yank the motor and do everything, timing belt, water pump, seals, turbo's, clutch, everything else that might go wrong.

I've helped someone replace the turbo's on his. Step one, pull the engine...

I've heard that it is hands down the hardest mass produced car to work on. It was a case where Nissan said "here is the engine, make a car that fits around it".

The 90-96 300ZX is not a car you work on yourself. It's defiantly a car you pay someone els to do the work. If you have the money to buy and pay for one then I Don't think doing maintenance yourself will be a problem.

I work on a 91 TT very often. The previous owner did NO maintenance so stuff is always breaking. It's here right now with a blown turbo. A good portion of my tools now live under the hood cause I can't find them. It drives great but I would never own one.

There's an 84 T 50th that comes in for service stuff and it's much easier to deal with. Mint condition too.
