My Mobi-Arc on-board welder prepped alternator just bit the dust. I've got a new alt. installed to keep the HB up and running for work but it's not set up for the welder. Before I get a new prepped alt, which higher output nissan alternators will fit my 95 HB? Nissan Quest was it?

Thanks

Yeah, a Quest. I don't know what year range, but they probably had automatic sliding doors. There's a thread about it somewhere.

I would contact Wrangler NW Power Products. They set up high-output alternators to work with the Mobi Arc (they are listed on the Mobi Power web site) and at one time they used to make a bracket to use a common alternator (GM I think) on the v-pully VG30. AC used to sell that high-ouput alternator with the adapter bracket. I've got one in my garage but have yet to install it. I think I've got pics if you would like to see them.

That sucks. Any idea what was causing the problem?

I think the way there brackets were made didnt allow for correct alignment. The cases all cracked in the same spot on one of the ears.
