What is the max that I should crank the torsion bars on my 75 620? It is fine now I really don't need to change it but I was thinking what is too far? Of course with two/one wheel drive not doing any offroading so that is not a big deal.

Too far as in what?
: too high a center of gravity on the truck? : or too hard on the torsion bars because they are wound up all the way? The torsion bar has the same spring to it weather it is lowered or raised. You are just adjusting at what point the rear of the "spring" is being held. So, don't worry about over-raising it. Just wench it up untill it can't go any further. You are just as likely to break a torsion bar at stock height as you are lowered or raised. (that chance is very slim) Add some spacers to your upper A-Arm to correct any positive chamber in your front wheels. Article on Lowering, but see the section near the top on putting in spacers. As for raising it up too high, I guess you can just put on wider tires and rims... |

One more thing, if you go any higher than what Orange suggested, you may also have a difficult time achieving the correct camber.
