There was a guy around a couple years ago- went on a desert run to
Anza BOrrego- he had just about 300,000 miles on his ?late 80's? Pathy.

Original everything, but he drained the pan on his auto trans about every 12 to 15 thousand miles. Never had burned fluid -so the AT lasted a long time.

Motor always got fresh belts when needed. I think the older v-6's need the timing belt changed at 60000 miles- i could be wrong and it's only the newer v-6's that have the change interval extended out to 100000 miles.
PLease smiley13 me if this sounds like I'm talking out my smiley40

It's about who gets to decide: how much energy we will have... where that energy will come from... what it will cost... It's about simulations, scenarios and monsters conjured up by computer models that should never be used to chart government policy -- especially on matters that will profoundly affect our livelihoods, living standards, life spans and dreams of a better future.

Sold my Pathfinder to a buddy to use as a work truck. He had it loaded with tools all the time, and got pissed one night and drove all the way to Kentucky to blow off steam.

On the way back, he threw a rod. Don't know if it was the weight or if he didn't check the oil for a while (probably the latter; it had a RMS leak big time)

Oh, and 225,000 miles at the poopy.

Actually it is now all V6 belts are 100k. Nissan changed the composition of their belts.

No, the pre 90 engines are still 60,000 mile intervals. It has to do with the tooth design of the cam sprockets. The square teeth vs. the rounded off teeth made a difference in belt durability. Unless the sprockets have been replaced with the newer style, the interval is 60,000.

My 92 Smashfinder has about 170,000 on the odometer. My fiancee has had the rig for like 5 years and as far as I know it is on the original engine and tranny.
