CODE ON COMPUTER SAY THAT ITS THE SWIRL CONTROL VALVE AND NOWONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THAT IS. CAN SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

idle is find it jerks lightly going through gears at 2000rpms up

vacuum lines are good except for the one on the air filter. there is a crack in the air filter housing

ok, on yours it is on the firewall side of the intake manifold, might also be called a power valve actuator. The Nissan part # is 14517-86G01
and they run about $68
Hope that helped..
