If the leaf springs check out OK, it's probably the torsion bar. These are adjustable by a long bolt at the rear end of the torsion bar. Loosen the lock nut and adjust accordingly. clockwise will raise the truck and counterclockwise will lower it. It's a trial and error process, but very doable in your driveway.
You'll want the wheel off the ground when adjusting, and when you set it down after each adjustment, roll the truck forward, then backward a ways so the suspension settles. 1998 Frontier 4x4 seriously built 2002 Xterra 4x4 still stock |

I have heard that all nissan trucks sit with the passenger side lower than the driver's. Mine does too...

I am convinced that all the trucks are tweaked. My 98 frontier sits with the front Level and in the rear the right side is about an inch and a quarter lower then the left. It has been like that since new.

I know a very common thing with a truck tweaking to the right is because of the gas tank. All that extra weight carried on that side over time will create some sagging issues. I am willing to bet nine times out of ten that is the case.

my gas tank is rear dead center...who knows what nissan was thinking...trying to offset the weight of the driver

you would think the driver would offset the weight of the gas tank, but where you sit does not reflect the rear suspension whatsoever.

I think they may twist the frame a little whale being shipped. SUV's and pickups are pretty tall, so the truckers probably bind the crap out of the pickups to get them as low as possible for more space, espically causing damage if they chained them down on opposite corners. It is just like a ghetto frame allignment when they tighten the binders on the semis.
