My clutch is not coming all the way back up where it should be(you have to pull it up with your foot between shifts, PITA!) so I looked at the pedal assembly and the return spring looks like its binded in the middle..I took a small rubber ball and pushed it between the spring and then filled the ball with air, it works but the ball doesn't hold air very long because of all the pressure, and I want to fix it the right way.. does anyone know how hard it is to replace the spring? I have the part number for it(46586)do I have to pull the whole clutch pedal assembly out to get to it because it looks like a real bitch to remove it and since the pedal will be in the engaged position, there will be full tension on the spring, has anyone replaced on of these before? Thanks!

Never had to replace the spring before. I know when I bleed my clutch master cylinder I have to manually pull up on the peddle during the bleeding process. Once I'm don't bleeding the clutch and pressure has built back up I no longer have to raise the clutch peddle manually.

I have never done one, but is there enough room to use a brake spring tool to slip the spring on??
