Hello, I have a 240sx with the Rb26 Skyline engine. Unfortunately my transmission is toast now. It was a gearbox from a NA and it was to small. Now I bought a fs5r30a from a 300zx turbo. This gearbox I could use with a Rb26/RB25DET bellhousing. Because the RD28 Block is nearly similar to the Skyline Block and the RD28 transmission has the same trannsmission code like the 300zx I would like to know if I could use the transfer case from the patrol. Do anybody know if the transfer case from the Patrol 2,8 fits to the 300Zx transmission???
It may be possible the swap the tailhousing on the transmission with one that will fit a TX10 (Terrano/Navara) transfer case. I'll let others more knowledgeable on interchangability speak up though.

If the Z32 5spd in Germany is the same as the US-spec this would be helpful for me later. I think it is, as the US Z32 5spd fits a RB26. And it's awesome to have 400+whp reliably

I have bought a gearbox from a Z31 Turbo because of the shifter location. But the bells from Z32 Turbo and Z31 Turbo are interchangeable too. The only difference between the bells is the slave cylinder position. My bell came two days ago and today I got my gearbox. Good news, I think they match!! Do you want to swap the Rb later?
The bell fits without a problem! The transmission is installed now. I had a little prob with the thin plate between block and transmission. The holes from the starter didn´t fit 100%. The distance is the same but the holes are a little bit twistet (hope thats the right word). Next time i would try to get the RD28 plate too. just to make it easier.. Pictures were made by a friend of me. I will post it if I get them. Greets!
