Not spending a lot of money and lifting a Nissan is tough.

If you want to go cheap, you can get about an inch and a half out of a torsion bar crank and a realignment. If you want a little more, buy a set of upper control arms through Calmini or AC ($300ish) so you can crank a little higher and maintain good balljoint angles.

To lift the back, hit your local salvage yard and look for '73-79 4x4 F150 or Big Broncos and nab the front coils, cut off the pigtail, and slap them in. The same trucks in 2wd form and Twin I-beam will also work for slightly less left. This shouldn't cost you more than about $40.

When you lift the front, you NEED a steering solution. If you know a good machinist, take out your centerlink and idler arm and have the CL machined to accept a sperical bearing and a through bolt. This is the cheapest way to address steering woes on a lifted nissan - it keeps the CL from twisting upward under load and binding against the frame - which can pretzel tierods.

A better choice is to click on the Calmini banner at the top of the page and get one of their steering kits...at just over $500, this kit solves the steering issue on a lifted IFS Nissan.

Solves steering issues on any IFS Nissan! No suspension lift is needed to fit 33x10.5 under a Nissan Hardbody. Just some very minor trimming and a 2" body lift.

I have a 94 pathy could you explain this a little more, I would do it myself. I want to go bigger but not much, cheap is exactly what I am looking for. "But" I want daily driving and would rather pay more to drive well. thanks.
