what calculator are you using? I'd like to toy with a copy of that one. I only have one of the excel crawler calculators.

Ahhh yes I played with that one when I first joined up, completely blanked on it. I blame it on the painting of the apartment and drinking some beers.

on the calculator it shows you have to start with stock size tires , stockers are 31's thats where i got the 3.78 im gonna stick with the firestone mt's  only other thing will it add stress to my axles goin bigger?

This is a easy question with an easy answer. Get the highest numerically gear ratio you can and install them. Since you have a newer truck your options are very limited. Look at it this way, how much power do you have now? How much more power will you have with a high gear ratio? I've got 5.38, 35's with a V6. I could use a higher gear ratio for on-road use. And yes the gear chart says I could run a 38" tire. I sure would not have any power. Probably brake a bunch of stuff. A-rod stated a very good tire choice. If you don't like those, make sure to stay with the interco brand. On a different note, have you really grown out of 33 in tires? 33's with a good ifs set-up perform well. 35” tire will put a ton of strain on your suspension.
