Nice to see you around Rob!

Mikey, without any silencing device, your rig will be much more tiring to ride in on the trails. I have doors and A/C, so I don't care!

I had new exhaust put on about a year ago. 2.5" from the 2:1 Y, all the way back with a magna flow muffler. The muffler is like a cherry bomb with a small bend inside, and 2.5" dia. I have good power from 1-2K and 3500K and up. There is not much in between though. I think a Supertrapp would be best since it is very easy to tune your powerband.

My friend had an '87 path and he put a cherry bomb on it and it sounded like crap. This is because it is straight through. Flowmaster makes a muffler with baffels that get rid of that "bumble bee" sound. My friend has this flowmaster on his yota with a 22R and it sound good.

Just to add to the exhaust discussion check out the Dynomax site, they give you an idea of what muffler you need based on what HP your vehichle puts out:

Check the pdf of all superturbo mufflers and match it up.

http://www.dynomax.com/documents/super_turbo_specs.pdf

SuperTurbos are good cheap mufflers at around $32.00 from Summit Racing. A nice sound and just a little louder than stock. They also have a limited lifetime warranty now no need to pay $100 for a stainless steel unit.

I posted a Dynomax Superturbo review in the Hardbody forum.

It really isn't too bad on the trails... And besides, I like running trails that take 8 hrs to drive 50 feet. roll eyes When I run trails that are only like 5 or 6 hrs, it really isn't that bad. I don't mind. Plus, the swampers are so loud, they drown out the engine. big grin
