Did a search...

wanted a opinion on buying some gas shocks for a 98 fronty x cab 4wd. 99% used as a daily driver and the rest dirt road.

don't want to spend too much.. would like to buy online or someone pulling theirs off for a lift.

If the truck is stock, I'd highly recommend a set of KYB Gas Ajust shocks for the front. I believe you can get them through Summit Racing.

Another option is Rancho RS5000's. The model number is 5188 for the front and 5116 for the back.

does it matter if it has a IFS or a SFA for the front shocks?

84' 4x4 720 pick-up newly rebuilt z24 2.4l engine, newly rebuilt 5 speed tranny, 33x12.50in futura/dakota a/t, 3in-body lift, rollbar w/4 100 watt h3 spots, optima red top, new in car neon with music pulser, and new streetglow neon underneath, and new rancho shocks all around! unfortunatly still have not found time to take cool pics, but they will be coming soon!

Whatever you do, do not buy the Rancho RS5000's!?!

They are on my truck and I Hate them with a passion. The ride is like a brick with wheels.

To each their own. Stiff is good for wheeling. I run them on both my trucks.
