Still waiting on parts to begin reassembly. Pulled the rockers off yesterday. 5 out of 12 frozen lifters. The lifters are not replaceable except as an assembly as part of the rocker. $26 each, Ouch. Some galling on the rocker shafts. I just honed with a stone and will use as is. Should probably take the cam shaft out and at least mike the lodes to record the ware, will see. Dropped the front side axle, transfer case and one cross member today. That will be fun to reinstall with the engine in the way. Just want to give a plug for George at ABC Nissan. He has been very helpful and almost every thing I needed has been in stock except for a odd hose and the EGR tube, those were special orders and will be here soon. Add ons so they wont stop me from installing the engine. Can't wait to here this engine purr. Again the major repairs were a noisy timing chain, crack in the exhaust manifold, 5 frozen lifters and a broken motor mount. Other than that just a good cleaning and through in a new clutch while I was at it. Last clutch was at 120,000 (70K) but still in good shape. Thinking about an oil filter relocation kit. The present position is like the worst I have ever seen. that's it. Tom
