Sounds like they have sagged a bit. They should have a little arch to them.

Rancho or Procomp shocks will work well. They'll be better than the stock ones if thats what you have.

Flat leaf packs are not a problem. I was looking at new trucks at the dealer (not Nissan) and noticed that many of them had packs there were flat or nearly flat. My leafs were flat and flexed very well and had a soft ride. When I went with a thicker pack to add some lift, I lost some flex and the ride was a little more harsh. If you don't need more lift or plan on hauling around heavy loads, you should be fine IMO.
If you plan on lifting the rear, you might want to hold off on new shocks to ensure you get some that are long enough. +1 on the adjustable Rancho. |

Both of the Hardbodies I owned and any that I looked at had flat leafs. Neither of mine were used for heavy hauling so I assume they were manufactured that way.

When my truck was new the neavs arched. Now they are flat and need to be replaced.
I would recommend the rancho 9XX adjustable. The 5000 have a hard rough ride on pavement. 5000's do well off-road. When I upgraded to 9XXX the difference was night and day. The adjustably rules! 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |

rancho or procomp are pretty good shocks... I haven't had Procomp, but heard good things about the MX6... but I've had multiple ranchos and they're ok...
not sure if they make these for hardbodies, but I have them on my Titan, and will never buy anything else (unless I go resevoir...), but it'll still be DR... http://www.donahoeracing.com/access_detail.php?accessID=20 these are rear shocks btw... 2005 Nissan Titan 4X4 with some mods... |
