I've been reading about them here and there and I know several people have "prototype" systems I guess..but whats the word? Is there a solution to our steering?

Spencer Low has a steering solution out there for Xterras and Frontiers. I'd think the only change needed would be to talk them into doing idler and pitman arms for HB/Pathys. You may want to contact them about that.

Go here for a complete writup on the SLR setup on my Frontier.

Calmini will soon be on the market with their own steering setup. Again, I'm not sure if it's specific to the Frontier/X platform, but it may be worth contacting them to find out.

Another inexpensive option is outlined here. This setup utilizes a junk stock CL and could be done for under $100. It appears to be an improvement over the stock setup.

There's also some simple and inexpensive setup for the Xterra (and perhaps Frontier) that got some good testing at Paragon over the weekend on several vehicles. Not much known yet, but details should come out very soon.

The solution that I was referring to has come to light. Bascially, a 1/8" plate of steel topped with a 1/2" thick piece of VHMW (dense) plastic is u-bolted across the length of the centerlink and slides against the frame rail, preventing the CL from pivoting up under load. Crude, cheap, and sketchy. They're still hashing out its merits or lack thereof on the XOC board, if you can see through the bickering.
