Hi, guys! I sorry too dump this meaningless debate on you. But my two friends they're driving me F'n Crazy!!! I've had enough of this for 1 week straight already! smiley35 Okay, so here goes...

One friend says that "A pacesetter header for a KA24E engine will fit and clear on a Naps-Z engine with no problems..."

The other friend says "No way... F*** that The heads are way different, and the bolt patterns and exhaust ports are different, as well the angle to mount the headers on the head is different!"

So, I would like too tell both of them to Shut UP!!! I Would Like Your Expertise And Knowledge On All Things Nissan! So both of them can stop acting and bickering like two 8 year old kids!!!

Please Save My Sanity!!! smiley35

I dreamt I was a muffler last night. When I woke up, I was exhausted.

I wouldnt take that bet... the ports should be different as well as the mounting... but cut here, weld there, grind all over and it might fit Big Grin depends on how determined they are

I did it. The bolt pattern is the same, as is the outer profile of the flange. The ports are farther apart on the KA, so it partially blocks the exhaust ports. I ran it as-is for a while, but had trouble getting it to stay sealed, so I used a die grinder and my trusty mig welder to move the ports on the header.
After welding, I used a straight edge, an angle grinder and a flat file to true the flange faces. Works like a charm.

Edit: The port shape is different, too. The KA has ports that are round while the Naps is more square. Here, you can kinda' see how I "squared off" the corners of the header flanges and tubes in the areas where they are close together. I thought I had pics of the mod, but I can't remember what I did with them. This pic is from a recent collector rebuild.

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.
