So, MaritimeMan came over for a short visit and we decided to go offroading in the area of the Little North Fork of the Santiam River area near Mill City, Oregon. Found some fun little logging roads, a few camping spots, and a LOT of mud.
 Have some pics.       As it would turn out, MM's alternator decided to take a crap on him just as we were heading home.  Good thing his battery was in decent enough shape to take a recharging. We got him back to my place after a couple of roadside re-charges, then headed to the junkyard for a Quest/Villager alternator to fix his problems for good. Next day: installed the alternator, recharged his battery and it runs like a champ! He took off and went home to Cali, no problem. Until he gets mud in the replacement. I think some folks have rinsed their's out( they acme back to life) when having charging problems after mudding. TEmp fix, though, as the mud is hard on everything( of course) and unlesss the alt is torn down /rebuilt it's not long for this earth. ..................... "Climate change is no longer science.
