Yeah, Joel, you just gotta head up the 40 to Williams. Not much in the way of wheeling, but J's is a nice place to spend a couple days denting a keg, pitching shoes, and eating too much.

We could meet you in Williams Mid day on Saturday if you want. Should be a good time.

Is Mark coming out for that one? It is up in the air right now. I might be doing the John Muir Trail starting that weekend.

Any of you guys up to a run in Death Valley in Oct or Nov? I can show you how the California boys do it. We have a cabin with a waterheater, gas lighting, an irrigation system, solar powered indoor/outdoor sound system, built in smoker and BBQ........ cool

You could always set up tent city out front if that is too cush for you big grin.

Yes, Mark is coming out for Labor day and is then headed to GOX the following week. He's hitting a trail with us down in the Phx area Friday, then Saturday we're headed up to J's just north of Williams (Williams is about 30 miles west of Flagstaff on I-40)

DV, eh? I'll hafta let you know on that. Am going to be thin on vacation time by them, so would want to use maybe one of the holiday weekends in November. Will have to see.

I think the reason AZ tent city is so good is that it's had nearly a full year to develop. (CO Run I was about 1 year ago exactly! well, close anyway) Joel, if Mark is making it out here for Labor Day, then you had damn well better follow suit. big grin Come on, there will be a chop top Pathy there!

Yeah, Mikey. Your truck has been demoted. Without a roof and a hatch, it's useless for tent city. Might as well leave it out in the boonies. And where are you gonna sleep now? Snoopy it on the hood? AZ RUN III is in late February (cold). We're gonna laugh at you big grin

I am still thinking about hiking the John Muir Trail, starting that weekend. It has been planned for a year now, so I hate to back out so late. I'll make up my mind soon. You know I'll be out there for the fall/winter run though wink.

Don't worry, I'll have enough tube on it before Labor Day to be useful for Tent City. I'll even weld on tabs in useful areas so that there is a place to tie down.. hehehe Oh, and it'll have a tarp over where there used to be a top... hehehe

I may invest in a propane tent heater for the AZ run. big grin

I saw one that has a duct hose that you run inside the tent.. and leave the propane tank outside. That should work great. big grin

Oh, and a hot water shower. Workin on that too. a hot shower when its 20F outside would kick ass.

I dunno man. February at night in phoenix.. is around 30-35F. Out in the desert, i'm sure its colder than that at night, even if its warm during the day.

lol.. yeah, icicles bad. Dry off quick enough though and there shouldnt be any problems.
