Checo,

Congrats man and welcome to the few, the proud, the ones with Snorkels!

I don't know if you guys know about the hole in the bottom of the airbox or not but be sure to completley take your box out and check it for holes.....HA! No seriously, you can plug it with a 1/4 inch bolt and RTV sealant.

Let's see some pics when it's done

Hey speaking for snorkles had anyone used a snorkle from a different truck like a Frontier one on a HB or pathfinder. I like the look of the Frontiers and X-terras snorkle with the ram air head on it.

Black 95 Pathfinder XE
2" PA Body-Lift
1.5" Ball Joint spacers
77 Bronco 2.5" lift coils
Rancho 9000's
32x11.50 BFG AT KO's
Rock sliders
Rack lights etc etc..

I havent seen anyone do it. It might be kinda difficult because the snorkels are formed to fit the curves of each truck.. and the snorkel plastic is TOUGH stuff. big grin

You could always make your own "low-buck" snorkel and face it towards the front for the ram-air effect. I can't remember where I saw a write up on this maybe on www.pathfinderoffroad.com

Ya I know I could do that but I would rather have the safari snorkle it is already prefabbed. I think in the long run it would cost about the same to get a used snorkle off someone rather than make one. I can say though Rob's snorkle does look good though.

I checked www.4x4connection.com sells the ram air head for the safari snorkle but it is $70. Just FYI in case you decide to get it. I like the look of the ram air intake. They also sell the pre-air cleaner for $70 too.

I don't think that replacement piece they have will attach to the snorkel I have. This particular snorkel is one-piece.
