Good luck with the transformation!

As much as I admire a well built straight axle, I'd never go SAS.

Why not Jamie? Too much into the IFS?

Yeah, why? Especially with the big tires you run...

I'm more of an R&R guy with very mild custom work experience. When something breaks on the truck, I know Nissan has the replacement Monday morning. My truck is completely bolt-on parts and 100% Nissan or at least 98%. wink

With steering solutions popping up all over the place, I think I can afford to keep the IFS. Plus too, I need something reliable since it's the only vehicle I have.

When (and if) I get my S/C Xterra, that's when I'll look into a straight axle for the Hardbody.

The steering fix is key. Not sure how many CL's you've used up, but if it's only a couple, you're definitely not wheeling with it very hard (nothing wrong with that), but that rim offset and those tires has got to be murder on Nissan steering otherwise.

LOL! Definitely!! I've seen 4 centerlinks this year (2002). After the steering is fixed, I think it's safe to say it's trail worthy.

Why only 33's after an SAS? Go to at least 35's! I'll be going 38's myself.

well ihave this problem you see my truck is blessed with a four banger right now, oh hell i dunno if i can find a set of 35's cheap for the trail i will buy them...what the hell! i was just worried about motor stress, man this thing drives alot nicer with 235-74-15, but my rims are 8.5 inches wide!!! these are my road set but they are mud tires from hi-tec-retreading, and they dont look that bad, honestly, they have 33x12.5s thats why i was thinkin 33 in tires
