Have a 88 KC 4x4 with 4 cylinder.Just replaced battery and have a dim alternator light that goes out when rpm's are increased.Have around 13 volts when just sitting there and around 14 volts when truck is idling.What do yo guys think is the problem? I am thinking maybe ground wire any suggestions.

It may be nothing- or that( a loose ground wire). Are the wires and clamps original? Might be time to replace the lot of them.
The voltage sounds like it's inthe ballpark, tho a plate type battery should be down around 12.5 and the running voltage should be in the 14.5 v range..
