couldn't find any write up. I have done MANY different Nissan car swaps. Now I'd like to dual cam swap my 1993 4cyl 4x4 hardbody. found one home made rear sump KA24DE but I thought I'd see if there is a stock set up anyone knows of.

My frontier has that engine - the truck version. the 240S version is quite different and I don't believe it'll bolt up to a 4x4 transmission.

No, it isn't. KA24DEs in 240s are different thant the KA24DE in a Frontier. Engine mounts are different for certain.

Go over to nicoclub.com and brows the trucks forum there. There are many threads on the topic including one earlier this year that shows photos of the differences.

Desert Rat is correct! they are different, plus the oil pans are different from a 2wd to a 4wd.

I KNOW!!! I'm asking what is there solution to the oil pan or should I start making one. Has anyone done this? From what I know if I took a 240sx ka24DE without an oil pan it would pretty much bolt into my 4x4 truck.

I'm looking for detailed info from somebody who may know what this swap entails. I am DOING the swap I just am getting a feel if its going to take me a half day or whole day. and if the stock transfer/trans will still be used

If you can make a pan, you can make the motor bolt up. But have you thought about the wiring and the ecu? or were you going to change them out too..

I'm actually looking into a similar swap. KA24E from a 240sx, Z24 head for higher compression as well as the dual plugs, and an Eaton Supercharger if I can find one. I'll be changing the ecu out to one out of a manual 240sx. I'm going to try to see if there is a harness that would work or if I'll just have to wire it all myself.

I would use the DE harness and ecu. But I'm really trying to figure out now if the bell housings are the same. from the 240 KA-DE I;m pretty sure they are.
