I am wanting to buy doug thorley headers for a 94 2.4L 4x4 5pd extra cab pick up, I found Auto Anything has them at a good price but the guy said not for a 5spd w/hydraulic clutch ?? Will these headers still fit, I bought a set of thorley headers for my 94 path 4x4 5pd v6, and they said the same thing but they still fit just fine,My question in does the same apply for the 4 banger truck as well. ???

Its a funny thing, they put those labels on there and they contradict themselves...
Like for my 89 pathfinder; Part Number: THY-464-1 Product Name: 1986-1989 TRUCK HARD BODIES, 1986-1989 PATHFINDER, 3.0L, 4WD, NO LIFT KITS 19- Does not fit 5-speed models w/ hydraulic clutch. 19 - Will not fit 1986-1989 models with the 2.9L engine. 3 - Stick Only. There is not a pathfinder stick shift out there that is not a 5-speed w/ hydraulic clutch. So its saying it won't fit the vheicle its designed for lol. I'm sure You'll be fine, mine is. what did you think of the drivers side header having that 1st primary pipe that slips into the flange? Why do you think they did it that way? why not just have all 3 already lined up like the passenger side? be less weilding yaknow =================================== mostly stock(for now) '89 Pathfinder XE over 212k and running good! Python Performance Injectors, HEI coil Thorley Headders & Magnaflow High Flow Cat w/ 2" turn down in rear wheelwell. HB Manual Locking hubs |
