is there any difference on the front end with brackets for the 1987 and 1997 front bumper, when i baught my 87 i did not like the black bumpers so i went and baught a new front bumper assy thats chrome and i baught the rear also,i allready put the rear on and im planning on putting on the front but someone said the front end might be different and it might not work? what do u guys think/
my radaitor support is pushed back from a prior collision hack repair so im having a bodyman at work replace the radiator support in 2 weeks and if the only difference is the rad support then ill just get a 97 support
also is the frame on the 87 4x4 pathfinder and hardbody the same on the very front rail section because i need the LT Front section of the frame to section in and theres plently of pathfinder 4x4 ve suvs in the junk yards in town
If you got a 97 bumper for your 87, you have to change brackets. The frame mounts are the same on both. Just get the 97 brackets for the new bumper.
I have an '89 Nissan Hardbody King Cab with a Chevy truck/Blazer 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift. It will soon have a TBI 350, SM-465 4 speed trans and 208 T-case rounded off with 39" tires.
thats what i did, i baugt a entire front bumper assy with all new hardware and its out of alignment, i might have some frame damage, ill get it up on a frame machine and see
Nissan did change the design of the bumpers from the D21 to the D21U. However I'm sure you could make the new bumper work, might have to make your own brackets.
