The driver door lock linkage on my 1986.5 D21 Pickup has disconnected.
Although it is reasonably uncomplicated to get into the innards of the door,
it is not clear how the linkage connects.

My Chilton and Haynes Manuals help not at all, and
the only parts schemata I've found online
does not seem to indicate the part I have in hand.

I'm hoping someone here has some experience with this.

Fortunately, my automatic door opening mechanism works so I can get in and out.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated, particularly any indication of a source for a parts schemata and/or source.

I've got the same problem with my driver side door. Alarm remote unlocks it fine but it wont unlock with the key. Please keep us posted on what you find and good luck.

I called my local Nissan Dealer
and he faxed me a parts schemata.

The lock linkage (part 80527M&N) is what I'm showing in my video (see previous entry), but it looks like what I'm calling the "tab" is suppose to connect to the lock knob. Mine doesn't. This may be a function of the automatic locking mechanism.

I fear that I'll have to go back in to explore the possibilities for connecting the lock linkage to somemthing other than the tab. Still a mystery how it would connect.

Any ideas or experience shared is appreciated.

Following the routing (dotted)lines, the lock linkage does not go to the tab. It appears to have its own attachment point.

Just leave the window down and pretend you're Bo Duke.

Fortunately, the power locks work.
