rebuilding the transmission shouldn't be too terribly difficult, just remember 1 basic thing, there should be NO left over parts once you rebuild, period. my friend rebuilt a transmission and left out one of the bearings (overlooked it) truck ended up going into reverse everytime he shifted into 2nd, destroyed his tranny. for the sas there are other suspensions as well such as a 4 link and coilovers.
94 suburban 4x4, plan on a diesel swap with a manual tranny, 6" lift, maybe rear steering

well i got the tranmission out, with no problem. i was gioing to try to rebuild my self but that is one thing i really didnt want to try on my own. i found a shop here in NC that is going to rebuild it for $500. i just want to say thanks for the help, and where can i find a 4 link coilover kit for a good price, so i can read up on. is sas the best way to go?
