nice console mine doesnt even have the cover anymoer...that what i am looking for or a new aftermarket one alltogether....but doubt thake make them since my e brake is there....maybee its just the king cab hard body with the v6 that has the e brake there?
Hello guys, I'm not sure exactly where my center consol came from. I've been told it could have came out of a Japanese sedan. Toyota or Nissan. I picked it up from a peddler who came by work.
Since the last decision I've seen several at junk yards that wouldn't bee too wide or long to fit in the middle of the console.
For the record. In the family there is a 95 4-cyl king cab 5-speed with the e-brake under the dash. There's a Green 95 4-cyl king cab Automatic with the E-brake under the dash. My 95 XE V-6 King cab 5-speed 4X4 has the dash in the center console. I think it's just us V6 guys -Brandon
Just to add to the confusion. My 86.5 XE Kingcab 4x4 Z24 w/ 5 spd has the center mounted e-brake. My 89 E regular cab 4x4 Z24 w/5 spd has it under the dash. My 94 SEV6 Kingcab 4x4 w/auto is under the dash. The XE kingcab w/ center mounted brake has the plugs on the firewall if you wanted to move it. I thought about moving it and putting a bench seat in to gain an extra seatbelt for the kids. However I once had to replace the dash mount one in my 89 do to breaking it from so much use. It was a nightmare. I had to tear the dash completely apart. I had bloody nuckles fromn the sharp edges down there, slammed, banged, cussed the Japaneese and ended up kicking the dash becuase I lost a socket in there some where. In the process of kicking the dash my foot slipped and broke the windshield. So if you want to change it I recommend doing it half lit.l Keith
i have the floor mount on my v6 4x4 5 speed. i wanted it too. i want to be able to use it like a real handbrake instead of that under the dash thing that you cant really work like the floor one. good info!

I have the V6 kingCab Hardbody with the between the seats e-brake and one thing I love about it is drifting. You can't play the same without it. You can get a new console from the dealership for around 100 bucks
I put a 94 pathy huge armrest console in my 93 SE KC 4wd. Fits perfectly around the floor mount p brake. The holes where different but the new holes where already in the floor. 100% boltin. 1994 is the first year of the round dashs.
