Hey guys, I'm picking up my D21 from Dallas and I'm thinking about using a tow bar and I was wondering how do I attach those. I don't have to drill into the bumper do I? Do I have to take the bumper off and if so does it just connect to the mounts. Please help. Thanks.

I haven't seen a D21 with a tow bar. I wouldn't bolt it to the bumper. They are...flimsy. Why not get a U-Haul 2-wheel dolly thing? Those are easy.

I mean if you don't disconnect your driveshaft when you tow it you're asking for problems. YOu ever tow a vehicle before?

read the owner's manual- it will tell you.

92 path is right on.

Put the Tcase in neutral and you should be fine.

One thing to keep in mind is when the t-case is in neutral the front driveshaft is actually engaged. I found this out and nearly lost it sine it's not meant for high speeds. If it’s a 5-speed, simply put the tranny on neutral and that will work. That’s how I tow mine.

I'm more than likely going to use a tow dolly the only reason I'm thinking of using a tow bar is cause they're cheaper then renting a dolly. As far as flat towing i figured I'd be ok as long as the t case and tranny is in neutral, right?

I've heard conflicting views depending on whether it's stick or auto and length of tow.

SInce none of that info is posted in this thread-the safe bet is disconnect DS, in my view..
