The parking brake on my 94 hardbody is located on the floor between the seats. I want to install a bigger center console. Has anyone ever swapped to the dash mounted parking brake?

I've done it with all NOS Nissan parts. Had a hard time finding a JY truck to pluck these parts from, like was said, somewhat rare. Basically I mimicked a stock setup from a V6 4x4 with Auto trans (standard cab 4x4's with bench seats came with them too). The control lever under the dash was a PITA to install but I got it in there, and you need the stock parking brake hose which runs out the firewall and underneath the cab above the tranny. From there you can connect to a junction in the stock hose and you're good to go. Oh, and I also bought the metal plate that covers the hole in the floorboard that is left when you remove the center lever. But you can make that yourself and use RTV to seal it up good.

I bought some NOS Nissan carpet from OEMSurplus.com and now I dont have that big gaping hole in the carpet where the console sat.

If you have a manual transmission and offroad a lot, I recommend you keep the brake where you can manipulate it with your hand. Three pedels are hard enough and then with a foot brake, you will still have to reach forward to release it. I wouldn't use a dash mounted hand lever either since it is too hard lean forward while working the pedels.
