when taking out the Knuckle, do you really need to replace the seal between the Baffle plate and Knuckle?

Maybe I should just keep quiet and not look stupid, but I can't help myself. What knuckle are you talking about? The IFS uses balljoints and CV shafts, no knuckles there. Enlighten me, please.

You still have a steering knuckle with IFS.
I've never replaced them unless they looked like they needed it. |

I would replace both the inner and outer seals if I already had everything apart. They are not expensive and they help keep the water and crud out of your wheel bearings.
I had to replace an outer one when a chunk of the rubber went on vacation allowing the spring to rub on the axle shaft. Sounded like worn out brakes but it would squeal almost all the time. I didn't replace the inner seal because it was one of the first repairs I had ever done myself and I was worried about screwing something up. |

I'm going to replace both inner and outter bearing seals. The baffle plate/knuckle seal pricey.
Just dont want to order parts from Nissan that I'm never going to use. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |
