I have 235/75/15 on my 2wd daily driver right now. There on later model pathfinder chrome wheels. The wheels are 7" wide.
Note: I don't recommend running this tire size on a 2wd truck!!! Currently the truck is way under powered. I have to baby the truck at every red light to get her rolling without laying on the clutch. As soon as I can I will be swapping back to stock tire size. I bought the truck with these tires. No way would I ever put 235's on a 2wd Nissan truck. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |

I had 235's on my 91 2wd. After swapping in 3.73 gears, it drove like stock. Made a huge difference. They only rubbed at full lock, or on big bumps at speed with someone in the passenger seat, and only the passenger side did.

I ran them on my 93. As for fit issues I had a body lift so they fit but the important part is they were fine for power. I have no idea the gearing, I did not really care back then. I even pulled my tent trailer with this truck and it pulled it better then my X does.

An 8" rim is too wide for that tire. Go to a 6 or 7" rim. the wheel offset will cause rubbing issues. The further you can tuck them into the fenders, the eaisier they'll fit.
