Mt center shaft uses a 1330/1310 conversion joint.

(and wasn't this thread supposed to be about carrier bearings? How'd it switch to driveshafts? Smile )

I ordered a d-shaft assembly from Nissan. Should be just remove and replace. I'll receive the part Thursday to verify everything.

Maybe I got d-shafted. list price was $377.90. After N4W discount and shipping total was $301. Took 3 days for ABC Nissan to receive the part from Nissan. Special order item.

The goal would be to pay a little up front with the security of knowing I’ll never touch the d-shaft again.

Beautiful! You won't need that new shaft, now. Chug Yours looks like mine. 3/8" fuel line?

You need to add pieces all the way around. Wink

The next size up from 3/8. 11/32 I think. 11/32 is slightly to big.

They sold them in 19" or 20" packs. Those were the only zip ties they had in the store. There chinchy.

Not as bad as before, still vibrates like crazy.

I received my drive shaft today. Saturday I’m going to install the new 1-pc drive shaft. I'll do a complete how-to write up. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures documenting all work.

Still going strong. I check it every time I am under there, but other than that, I never think about it.

It doesn't vibrate at all.
All the rubber does is hold the bearing somewhat centered while allowing it to move in a linear direction as the axle moves up and down.
The sections of hose hold the bearing centered while allowing it to SLIDE in a linear direction. Packing a bunch of hose in there provides ample friction to keep the outer bearing race from turning.

This is a fix for failing rubber suspension, not for a failed bearing.

Save the flange (yoke) that bolts to the rear differential. Don't remember who it was but there was a post where someone lost the rear u-joint and took out the flange along with it.

Oh yeh, might as well save the front slip yoke portion also.
