I'm having this problem on my truck that whenever it rains, the truck runs very poorly unless full throttle or higher in the rpm range. Sometimes can take a couple days to clear up once the rain stops. Any ideas???

Check for moisture under the distributer cap, and on the wires.

First steps in troubleshooting is Do a complete tune-up. Cap,rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter.

I would check the codes on the computer. If your computer is going into safe mode it will run better in the higher rpm's.

I've checked all these items, and it has had a recent tune up. Also i dont see any moisture or water in the engine bay when it happens.

The check engine light comes on periodically and i'd like to pull the code to see what it is. I have the all data directions:

1) turn ignition switch to on (motor off)
2) turn diagnostic test mode selector fully clockwise
3)read the number of flashes
4) turn diagnostic test mode selector fully counterclockwise
(for the different test modes...

But i dont understand how this actually gives you the specific code??

Check TPS. If that gets wet (moisture inside the harness) it could effect the performance.
