So far:
4 Xterra's - 1 Jeep - 1 H3 and 1 Landcruiser.

Hopefully, we can have a few more cruisers and a frontier or pathy join in.

Hmmm... that's on the weekend of my birthday. Sounds fun.

Are you considering posting meeting times along the way for people who want to only do part of the itinerary?

You mention 'Oak Creek Trail'. Is that Oak Creek Homestead? Anybody been on that this year? Two years ago the step at the top of Crack Axle Hill was pretty challenging without a locker. I think John's Dad ran it earlier this year/late last year and said that even with a locker it was tough.

However, that trail is part of the local Jeep/Humvee tours, and when I was on it it looked like trail repairs had been recently performed. Other than that short hill/shelf road, the trail was easy.

Regards,

-matt

that's the one. I haven't done it lately so I'll have to check out that ledge.

I'll go check it out this afternoon after work. Several of the tour companies are using this trail now so they've probably repaired the hill. Kinda glad they did it because last time I drove it the shelves were so steep they threw you towards the drop into the valley. Not a pleasant feeling!

This sounds like fun, and since I probably won't make AZ Run this year, this will give me some satisfaction. It all depends on my travel schedule for work.

Well, went out and checked out the hill on Oak Creek Homestead this morning. Looks like someone hauled in about 60 tones of dirt and rock and dumped it on the hill. They didn't completely clean it up but now its just challenging in a fun way. Before it was nasty, scary, and down right dangerous. I went down and then back up with open diffs since I lost power to my ARBs and the sheep that was with me had open diffs so I don't expect any problems at all for your trucks.
