So who’s game to take on the world famous ‘Con this year?

I’m planning on going again & taking my 90’ Pathy & 87’ Sammy with my buddy twitch as the co/other driver.

Would be sweet to see a bunch of built Nissan’s on this great trail which is basically a 12+mile rock pile with one challenges after another; up, down, around hills, creeks, between trees, boulder squeezes, and off ledges with some granite slabs to navigate Moab style minus the slick rock.

Come on now…lets see all the SAS’s and mods people have been doing put to a real test Wink while enjoy some of the best high sierra country that CALI has to offer.

For those that want to try the ‘Con my best advice would be; plan, prep, test, re-check, have a good positive attitude, relax, and enjoy the thrill ride Smile

At a minimum I would recommend rock sliders, 33” tires, full underbelly skids + a rear diff one, rear traction control (IE...real locker or tight LSD, front ones really help especially with IFS), a passenger or spotter for each 1st time driver, and as much recent rock crawling experience as you can mustard

5 speed drivers should really consider lower crawler gears and steel replacement bumpers are a wise move for all, but I guess you could get away with a stock bumper although chances are it would get some damage. Taking spares; axle shafts, u-joints, rear drive shaft, spare steering components along with the rest of standard stuff is something that is good practice for this type of trail IMO.

Hope to see some of you on the Rubicon this year Big Grin

Brian

Would love to, but am using my week of vacation to head to Wyoming in October Frown Should have some fun up there tho hunting with my dad and brother. That might be the last long trip my tired 4 banger can do before needing a new engine. she's using oil.

Might try to make it a point next year....

AZ Run, Moab, GOX, Rubicon, a family summer trip, trips to Wyoming in the fall, and a week off at Xmas....that equals about 3 more weeks of vacation than the 4 I get each year.

An no one will give me a winning lotto ticket.
