I'm thinking about about a 3" body lift with 33"x10.5" AT's on stock rims.

Think in it will work with some trimming or are new rims/backspacing mandatory?

Stock wheels, you can run it with trimming and cranking only, it's been done. With a body lift, should be dandy with the usual trimming.
