Anybody know the bolt size/pitch for the front caliper brake line banjo bolt on gen1 X's off the top of your head? I'm pretty sure it is 10mm like the brake line fitting on the other end of the line but less sure it is 1.0 like that fitting is. I've got a new 10x1.0 bolt for a less-thick banjo fitting than stock but want to find out for sure it will fit before I tear it apart to replace the stock one.

I'll be looking for my FSM disk...

ETA: neither the FSM or the Haynes says so I'll find out tomorrow when I get into it.

It has to be a brake line bolt with the hole in it...a regular hardware store bolt won't work

For the record the banjo bolt in a gen1 X is 10mm X 1.0 pitch. Unfortunately my real problem seems to be the flare on the hard line.

ETA: The hard line flare has rough edges and doesn't look quite square to the tube. The hard line is bent just enough to *not* be able to move the flare nut back up the line more than about 1/4" when it is all disconnected and when I put it back together all the way as tight as possible it still seems to be wet coming out the top of the flare nut when I test the brakes.

ETA2: one more heave-ho o the flare nut seems to have set it well enough to stay dry Smile

Nissan keeps things simple with their brake systems. Everything on my truck is 10X1.0 Banjo bolt and flare nuts.

Whenever your dealing with brake line fittings you need to be 100% sure everything is threaded right and seated properly. Also inspect in end of the flare for cracks. hire line cracks will cause leaks.
