Yep, that's me. I swore I'd keep the Xterra stock.

Well, today I'm going to go pick up some shocks for it. That's everything accumulated. A used SLR 3 pack AAL with shackles, used Calmini steering, my old AC arms....and new RS5000's.

Guess that means it's getting a lift.

Hell, I might even tear into it this weekend.

Datz, I need to borrow your puller again Smile

Of course she does. Big Grin Who do you think has been nagging at him about the lift and steering taking up space in the garage instead of on MY truck. Razz

You're gonna' love it. The first time you park next to a stocker. I still try and park near any others and I've seen it happen to me.

Will probably work on it on Sunday. Anyone who wants to stop by is welcome to. Going to Larry the cable guy on Sat night, so I won't be tearing into it too early....

Well, lift and steering is installed. Took just under 6 hours to do both. I had some help show up for the front of the truck. It's scary...I'm starting to get good at this crap.

The AC arms that aligned perfectly on my Frontier appear too long for the Xterra. I've adjusted all the negative camber in that I can and still have \ / . I'm going to the alignment shop this morning to see if there's any more adjustment in there, but otherwise a call to Calmini may be in order. Sucks. Was hoping to have a budget lift.

Will get pics up soon.

I don't want my wifey to lift or spend $ on her X. Spending $ on her 4x4 which will only see pavement takes $ away from my other projects Wink

she had me going the other day when she called and said she wanted low range tcase gears...then she let me stew about it for a while as i pondered the high price...she was just kidding Razz

it's bad enough that i have to waste good money on dumb household things instead of tires and beadlocks. she wants to spend money on crap like "furniture", and "heat in winter" Big Grin

Well she does want a winch bumper, which means i can give her the 16 year old Warn 6000 off my Fronty because i'm a 'nice' guy. Which frees up the chance for me to get a new 9000 Lb winch for me heh heh heh

She wants either the Calmini or ARB winch bumpers (are there even any others to choose from)? Maybe if Cal will get my SYE back timely i'll forget that my truck has been sitting like a dormant volcano doing nothing for so long. Sorry, that should have been posted somewhere else Smile

Well since i don't want to be accused of post jackin' or jaw jackin', let me ask Andy this...is a lift kit a good idea for a rig that is only a daily driver? Front end stay in alignment and all that like a stocker? What about the pitman arm troubles i've read about? I've broken a pitman arm before 4wheeling and i know they are a weak link.

Andy I wanted to get over there yesterday, I just had to play catch up from Saturday due to the rain. I got all the wood moved and stacked, and the front trees trimmed and the Christmas lights up. By then it was after 5.

Let me know what is up with the arms. If you need to put new ones on let me know and I'll come help out.

Not to mention I was still laughing from asking the Dennys waitress if she plays dodge ball...

And PJ to his credit never did puke. The fog was so bad my the time we made Maricopa it was hard to find my street.

Meh.

Well, alignment went better than expected. Specs are real close so we're gonna leave it alone for now. Probably order a set of Calmini's before we buy new tires for long term.
