Anyone gotten a quote on this thing yet? It would probably void my warranty but might be worth it.

it will only void your warranty if it is the direct cause of the problem. For instance if there is a suspension problem and because of the lift it is caused then the factory or a dealership has no obligation to fix. But if you are driving and your A/C compressor goes out or something like you alternator dies of natural causes, then they by law would still be covered. And you are right no prices are out yet but it is speculated it would be up there in price, being that it is a 5" lift. 4x4parts.com has a 2.5" lift right now for the 3rd generation xterra's it is a set of new coils and some rear shackles which runs less than 200 bucks.

Also, Double D in the AZXC helped tune the shock setup for the nex X, had a chance to see the Calmini X with the 5" lift and said it was worthless.

Worthless? Please explain. Not sure how 5" of true lift could be worthless. If you mean it won't improve suspension peformance and flex a lot over stock, I'd buy that, but it sure as hell would give you a lot more frame/body clearance and room for larger tires....I wouldn't call that worthless.

And the 05+ X need the additional clearance with the longer wheel base.

What I remember about what he said was that the truck was built more for show than go. Calmini did the lift for Nissan in order to get the free truck. I think the truck looks great personally, love my 04 and modding the hell out of it. He said the lift wasn't going to help the 05 flex or perform well, wasn't going to be worth the money. Just a messenger...

No IFS lift I've ever seen has ever IMPROVED flex, they just allow for bigger tires and more ground clearance so you can tackle bigger obstacles and aren't dragging everything.

I just wish we had a possible price. I wonder though with 5". How can I stablize a vehicle lifted that high? It's still going to be a daily driver.

The lift isn't completely worthless. You can basically only go up one tire size. LT285/70R17 otherwise you will have some serious clearance problems. With 5 inches of lift I would expect to get at least 2 or 3 upsizes in tire. The Lift is executed well, but you don't gain any travel or flex. Plus with the sway bar drop and droped crossmemeber what you gain from tire size increase you loose by the cross member drop. So I think it's pretty worthless for wheelin'. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions...

I love how people are saying this lift is worthless. lol Its no more worthless than a lift for a 04 or older. If anything its the best IFS lift made yet for a midsize nissan, cause you dont LOOSE travel. Hell a 3 inch lift for older nissans have sold like crazy. And with those you actually loose travel, but most people still find them worth it, for the ability to get larger tires(more clearance). Why should this be any different? Roll Eyes
