First pic is up...OK...its just from a VERY wet contingency...but they are in and ready to go...everyone keep their fingers crossed that the rear end holds up...Thats always the big bugaboo with this truck...

And the X is at the starting line and we have cell contact with the main pit so regular updates should be posted as the day goes on...The trick trucks have started so it shouldn't be long now for the X and its fellow class 3100 competitors...

What is the issue with the rearend, and why would a true spool fix everything? I was excited when I read that Dave was in 3rd place. What about the possiblities of using a non-nissan rear axle?

The spider gears are EXTREMELY weak and just implode and damage everything on the inside of the diff when they go...a spool should eliminate all the spider gears and such with a much simpler mechanism...We COULD go to a non-Nissan rearend IF it wasn't running in a "stock" class...and moving to another class would require many more upgrades than just a new rear end to be competitive...
