Hey, gang... A belated Merry Christmas and happy holidays to y'all! On Christmas, the northeast got hit by a nice storm, and well - I just had to go out and play! I drove around in the storm for nearly six hours, helping one person get unstuck and jumping the battery of another hapless soul. Took some 183 pictures, too. Here's a good one, taken while the snow was really coming down:

What a blast! Had NO problems with the Interco TRXUS tires attached, heh. smile

Nice BP! We had sun here. In the 60's. This was my first year not having a white Christmas - kinda strange.

That's the Home Depot in Huntington Station. And yeah, that's about 5-6" of fresh pow right there! Talk about FUN. The TRXUS tires ate the snow alive for six hours straight without a hitch.

As much as I like summer, I admit that I like the snow a lot, too... Heh. Just too bad I didn't get to board in it. frown

'Twas the first "white Christmas" on LI since 1969, supposedly. That's freakin' hard to believe...

We went snow wheeling yesterday.. it was half melted, but there were a few snow covered hillclimbs that were a lot of fun!

I tried the 4wd donut thing, but it doesn't work out so well... Best to have it in 2wd, so you can spin a little better, hehe. I don't think the stock auto hubs take that kind of abuse well... I need to get me some manuals (and solve that little "no 4wd in reverse" thing). smile

I'll post some more pictures today or tomorrow - just gotta post-process some more pix. Stay tuned!

You should always have 4wd in reverse as long as your Transfer case is engaged. If it comes out of 4wd in reverse, there's something wrong with your auto hubs. They should stay locked in as long as power is going to the axle.

It takes a little practice, but you can make your X spin like a top in 4-lo-1 in the snow. It's a blast. I went and did a few during the previous snow a couple of weeks ago...
