Is $250 a good price for a Wagoneer Dana 44 front axle? The seller says it is in good shape with about 150K miles on it.

That's reasonable for around here. Make sure it's driver drop and is not a vacuum disconnect.
Mileage isn't a big concern, as SAS candidates get rebuilt anyways. As long as the housing is straight. And if you don't want it, put me in touch with the guy and I'll buy it 1998 Frontier 4x4, 2002 Xterra 4x4, and Z28 street rocket Pass here and go on. You're on the road to heaven - Kerouac |

The axle is an '83 driver side drop. It has a vacuum disconnect. The axle is on Ebay. I'm tempted but it sounds like the vacuum disconnect is a problem. Can't you discombobulate that and still use the axle?
