'02 Xterra with suspension lift and 33" tires...

I whacked up my Calmini steering on AZRun. The Calmini pitman arm and idler arm are not parallel or in the same plane anymore. The alignment is whacked too as a result of that. I'm taking it to Shuman's Friday for an alignment and I'm thinking about putting the stock steering back on first. It was in pretty good shape before I put the Calmini kit on...

good idea, bad idea?

see if they can get it close to spec first....the stock steering will go away fast with your SL.

If you do go back to stock, have the idler arm fixed up like the one on your pathfinder first (spherical bearing, and a shear mount) so it can hold up to the lift.

BTW, steering issues won't cause camber problems / \ or \ / They can only cause toe in issues, which can be adjusted with the tierod adjustors

I've also twisted my idler arm bracket. You can just buy the bracket for $40.
First if I can't straighten mine, I'll buy a new bracket. Before I bolt it up, I'm going to support the new one at the bottom. A piece of angle iron welded to the bottom of the frame with 2 holes drilled and tapped. This way you can bolt the bottom edge of the idler arm to the support. I'll post a pic of what I mean.

Obviously, I will cut it to match the idler arm and countersink the bolts.

Just one question. How in the world did you break the calmini steering kit? All I've herd about the kid is it's indestructible.

I'm running all OER MOOG steering and suspension parts.

Mashed the idler arm mounting braket that caused the idler arm to bind when it moved.

All hail Shuman's! Those guys are great. Alignment's good again, I think they got the idler bracket a little straighter too.
